HRN Management Group was founded in 1989 in response to a growing business demand for human resource services. Since that time, HRN Management Group has expanded from a small firm into a well-respected human resources and talent management software and consulting company with an international presence. HRN Management Group's focus and mission are simple: offer high quality products and services that simplify and improve the management of employees and ultimately save our clients time and money.

Management ProfilesJerry Nelson, President
HRN Management Group was founded by Jerry P. Nelson who continues to serve as President and CEO. Jerry has over 30 years experience in human resources management. Prior to founding HRN, Jerry was Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources for Valley Utah Bancorporation, a billion-dollar bank holding located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jerry holds a Masters Degree from Brigham Young University in Public Administration (MPA), as well as a graduate certificate from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware. Jerry is well respected throughout the HR community and his expertise is in high demand. He is a popular and frequent speaker, addressing national and regional audiences on a variety of human resources topics. His teaching appointments at both Westminster College (School of Business) and the University of Phoenix (Masters Program) also recognize Jerry's experience and talent.
Jane Haertel, Executive Vice President
Jane is a knowledgeable human resources professional with over nineteen years of wide-ranging experience. She earned undergraduate degrees in Political Science and History from the University of Wisconsin and holds a law degree (JD) and an MBA (with emphasis on human resources) from the University of Utah. She is also an accredited Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Jane, a founding partner in HRN Management Group, has successfully overseen the growth and development of HRN's product line. She is currently responsible for developing, customizing, and updating the HR Suite product. She also researches and writes a monthly newsletter for our HR Suite and Employee Handbooks Plus clients called HR Notes, that covers important news and emerging trends in the human resources field. Jane was essential in the strategic development of Performance Pro and authored the Job Descriptions Plus product.
