HRN Management Group Releases Updated Version of The State and Federal Employment Law Guide
Addresses specific federal and state law compliance issues
SALT LAKE CITY (September 24, 2004) Continuing its commitment to providing current employment law products, HRN Management Group has released the semi-annual release of an updated version of The State and Federal Employment Law Guide.
New state legislative developments covered in the Guide include items such as gun regulation in the workplace, new FLSA regulation, and requiring additional background checks on various employees.
“Some states had only minor changes, while others had important new information that should be incorporate into HR practices,” said HRN President Jerry Nelson. “Companies should review the laws that may affect their organization and then incorporated them into their HR Manual and Employee Handbook.”
“We reference the Employment Law Guide on many occasions,” said Jan Davis, city recorder from Elk Ridge City. “We find it contains informative material that keeps our city administration process legal.”
The 50 State Guide is available online at www.hrnonline.com for $495, or $395 in Microsoft® Word format. Single states are available for $95.
HRN Management Group Releases HR Suite Update
Corporate compliance tool includes policies for new FLSA regulations
SALT LAKE CITY (August 30, 2004) Continuing its commitment to provide current human resource administration products, HRN Management Group has released its semi-annual update of HR Suite.
This release comprises new and revised policies and forms that subscribing companies should incorporate into their employee handbook and company policy manual. Additional materials, such as exempt/nonexempt worksheets, were also provided to assist with the new August 2004 Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations.
Even the smallest organization needs certain legal safeguards. HR Suite allows you to prevent unwarranted litigation and to give clear employment guidelines by compiling corporate documents that can be easily customized and printed—available online for $595 (or in Microsoft® Word format for $495).
“The HR Suite update addresses compliance issues companies will face with the recent FLSA changes,” said Jerry Nelson, HRN President. “Since these regulations address employee overtime, employers should immediately audit their current exemptions and apply the new requirements.”
The HR Suite update makes it quite easy to incorporate new policies; simply select the desired policy, copy the suggested text to your handbook or manual, customize it to meet your organization’s specific needs, and then have it reviewed by your legal counsel.
The upgrade is available to current clients as part of their annual service plan. Others may view the compliance tool by participating in a free online seminar on September 21, 2004, at 12 p.m. (MST) or by requesting access to a demo account. Visit www.hrnonline.com to participate.
